For more than three decades, Vincent Sabathier has worked across disciplines that are usually separated: engineering, industrial operations, diplomacy, public policy, entrepreneurship and strategic advisory.

ENGINEERING & INDUSTRY

At CNES, Vincent worked as a systems engineer on the upper part of Ariane 5, payload accommodation and launcher aerodynamics. At Arianespace, he moved from engineering into industrial production, follow-on development and commercialization, carrying complex systems where reliability is essential from qualification to market.

DIPLOMACY & PUBLIC POLICY

As CNES Representative to the United States and Space Attaché at the Embassy of France in Washington, D.C., he worked across civil, commercial and defense space. He subsequently served as Senior Fellow and Director of the Space Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, at the intersection of technology, public policy and international affairs.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP & OPERATIONS

Vincent founded Alsatis in France, Sabathier Consulting in Washington, DC, and Bloosurf on the U.S. East Coast. Alsatis evolved from a Wireless Internet Service Provider into an integrated Smart Territory infrastructure provider spanning satellite, terrestrial wireless, IoT, cybersecurity and datacenters; Vincent supervised the ISO/IEC 27001 certification process. 

At Bloosurf, Vincent retained the CTO role alongside CEO, designing and operating a 4G-LTE fixed-wireless access network on licensed spectrum (EBS, CBRS) and a XGS-PON fiber network and managing the cybersecurity plan required by NTIA, based on NIST standards, for participation in the BEAD program .

ADVISORY

Through Sabathier Consulting, Vincent has advised governments and industry on technology strategy, international expansion, business development and public policy. His work has included Japan, JAXA and Safran, and today extends to emerging space-based computing and the infrastructure chain connecting sensing, networks, datacenters, compute and AI.

A SYSTEMS VIEW

Every major technological revolution ultimately becomes an infrastructure revolution. As systems become more connected, cybersecurity must be considered in the architecture from the outset. The challenge is to see the transition early enough to shape it.
